The footprints in the sand begin with two sets, but soon become one—because when we couldn’t take another step, He carried us.

One of my favorite parts of "He Carried Me" is the way the woman's face is hidden, resting quietly against the Savior’s shoulder. We’ve all been there—humbled, overwhelmed, and in need of comfort. I wanted the footprints fading into one to show the quiet miracle of how Jesus walks every path with us.

While I worked on this piece, I thought back to the many times I’ve knelt in prayer, asking for help I couldn’t see. Sometimes answers come slowly, sometimes in waves—but over time, I’ve looked back and seen clearly that I was never alone. In the hardest moments, I wasn’t abandoned. I was being carried.
